Rip
'n Ride initiation clinics and further teachings/testing
for additional skill awards may be conducted only by
recognized instructors. These individuals must have
received training on water ski/wakeboard instruction
and for the Rip 'n Ride Program.To be recognized as
an eligible Rip 'n Ride instructor, an individual must:
Be a current member of Water Ski
and Wakeboard Canada via their respective provincial
water ski/wakeboard association;
Possess Water Ski/Wakeboard Instructor
Certification, through either of the two options
below:
Successful completion of the Learn To Instructor
course of the National Coaching Certification
Program. It is through the new Learn To Instructor
course of the new National Coaching Certification
Program, that Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada
delivers this primary training. Anyone who becomes
a trained Learn To Instructor is recognized
to deliver Rip ‘'n Ride activities; or
Full certification Level 1 (Theory, Technical
and Practical) of the National Coaching Certification
Program and, if not currently trained as a Learn
To Instructor, must apply for and successfully
pass a Rip 'n Ride Instructor Quiz (see information
below).
Level 1 Coaches who have yet
to be trained as a Learn To Instructor, may become
a recognized Rip 'n Ride Instructor via a take home
study and quiz. This step ensures that the individual
is thoroughly familiar with the Rip 'n Ride Program,
its operation and administration. Interested individuals
may download and complete the application form below,
remitting $30.00. Applicants will be sent applicable
Rip 'n Ride resource materials (Facilitator manuals,
samples, etc.), and a quiz which must be completed
and returned. The quiz will be scored, and successful
candidates will receive official recognition as a
Rip 'n Ride Instructor.
